Punctual Payment
Last updated: 06-Oct-2014

Per Lord Finlay in Maclaine v Gatty [1921] AC 376, at p.388:

It appears to me that the expression ‘punctual payment’ is perfectly applicable to a provision for payment on a particular day, and that then it emphasises the necessity of payment being made on that day, and not on a subsequent day. Instead of diluting the meaning of the provision for payment on that day it emphasises it.
